WMU and the SBOIL project are pleased to announce that after a comprehensive Best Value for Money evaluation and analysis, it was decided to award the SBOIL oil spill exercise contract to Oil Spill Response Ltd.
One of the tasks in SBOIL will be to train the regional oil spill response managers in a tabletop exercise scheduled for 2018.
This procurement has ensured the Best Value for Money (BVM) by applying a weighted scoring system. The award of the contract was made to the supplier whose offer has been evaluated and determined as a) responsive, compliant and acceptable and b) having received the highest score out of a pre-determined set of weighted technical and financial criteria. A technical evaluation committee comprising subject matter experts both internally and externally was setup to review the technical proposals on their individual capacity and the financial tenders were reviewed by the Procurement and Contracts Officer.
WMU and the SBOIL project looks forward to working together with such a world renowned oil spill expert organization as Oil Spill Response Ltd.
